You are reading this page because you have engaged one of our Musiq Entertainment DJs to provide the tunes for your corporate event or function.
With most events, unless otherwise specified at the time of booking we will be providing you with a DJ for the entire duration of the event, a PA system, DJ console and a wireless microphone should you have any speeches and/or announcements that you would like to make.
If you have received our DJ as part of your package with one of the venues we supply to all events at WatervieW, L'Aqua, Starroom and Centennial Parklands Dining definitely come with the wireless microphone in the package. Events at Pavilion will usually use the in house wireless microphone at the venue and not that from our DJ console.
As with all events we supply DJs for, we are here to ensure that the music that we play is the same music that you and your guests want played. For most functions we recommend our DJs be trusted to read the crowd, take requests from guests and making sure everyone at your function no matter what age, gender or background has the opportunity to dance and/or enjoy the music at the event. We know not everyone will like every song we play, but we try and keep a variety of music going and play more of the styles and genres that are getting a better reaction from your guests. Unless you specify to us before hand, all of our DJs are instructed to take requests from guests within reason. Sometimes the DJ will deem requested music as inappropriate, a dance floor killer or it may be a song that they don't have in their collection. In these cases, our DJs will politely let the person making the request know and ask them if they have any other songs that they will like to hear.
With many events, you will have a specific theme for the event, age group to cater to or have some specific songs you require to go with entrances, speeches or awards. We are more than happy to help you out with these requests or instructions. In the case that you may have some specific instructions or requests that you are aware of prior to the event, please do let us know with an email to r@musiq.com.au or by calling Rupert on 0412 024 012 to discuss your requirements. If you can email us these requests at least a full week before your event, that will give us time to ensure your DJ has the music you have asked for or to make other arrangements to get the music.
